De bomen staan in het laantje naar de kerk. In zag ze en moest denken aan een werk dat ik eerder maakte, getiteld prophesy. Ook daar was de link met het geloof aanwezig, de ronde vloer lag in de Sint Nicolaaskapel in Amsterdam en was onderdeel van een voormalig klooster. Prophesy. Een zwangere vrouw (Ingeborg die op het kantoor van KIK werkt en deze maand gaat bevallen? De kunstenaar in de ban van een nieuw project?) en een gevallen of knielend hert of ree (zie de blog van 3 maart). Het hert is doorgaans een aankondiging van iets nieuws, iets goeds (tenminste voor mij omdat ik in de stad altijd naar de natuur verlang). Ik zag drie reeën in het veld toen ik afgelopen zaterdag naar Kolderveen reed. "Ik ga de goede kant op" dacht ik.
(Hoe zat het ook al weer met de "stag" bij Beuys? Ga ik opzoeken.)
I found the trees in the lane leading to the Kolderveen church. They made me think about an installation I made a couple of years ago, titled prophesy. The link with religion or faith was present there as well, the round floor was lying in the Saint Nicholas Chapel in Amsterdam and was part of a former convent. Prophesy. A pregnant woman (Ingeborg who's working at the KIK office and is going to have another child this month? The artist involved in a new project?) and a fallen or kneeling deer (look at the blog on March 3). The deer is usually a good sign (at least for me, living in the city and always longing for nature). I saw three roedeer in the fields when I was driving to Kolderveen last Saturday. "I'm heading in the right direction" I thought.
(I remember the stag was an important symbol for Beuys, maybe I have to look into this.)
